User authentication

AltoReach devices can be configured to either use either local users, or a RADIUS server for user authentication.

• Local users — There are two types of local users:
  • Admin users, who have read-write access to the WebUI.
  • Read-only users, who have read access to the Dashboard.
• RADIUS authentication — Users are authenticated by using an external RADIUS server.
  • All RADIUS users have the admin role.
  • If the RADIUS server is unavailable, authentication will fallback to the local users.
