The 3.16x version of embedded code is released to the field. This version can replace the existing versions 3.15x or earlier. These notes include features and fixes for Gen2 products from versions 3.13.x to 3.16.x. 

Features Added 

• Configuration defaults were updated to streamline deployments, per customer request:  
  • Wireless SSID and passcode defaults: KBAccess.
  • VLAN mode default: Port-based.
  • Management VLAN ID: 100.
  • PVID: 100. (For all Ethernet ports.)

  Note: To optimize data-plane performance after deployment, set Management VLAN ID and Ethernet PVIDs to different VLANS or set VLAN mode to something other than port-based.

• The WebUI heading on the Status tab changes to light yellow to show that the device cannot be reached.  
• Added the Transmit Power setting. See Management Functions, Wireless section of the device manuals for more information. The setting defaults to maximum power. The Transmit Power setting includes a built-in "reset to maximum" to avoid connection failures for cases where power-level is accidentally set too low.

Defects Fixed 

• Units without a temperature sensor (K60, K60c/c+) issued CRITICAL level messages for "no temperature sensor" events. The message level has been changed to INFO. 
• The link assessment/aiming feature failed to run when the WebUI was launched from Edge Controller proxy. This problem has been corrected.
• LAN peer reporting issue: a subset of the actual LAN peers could be reported for devices at the same location and inter-connected using an unmanaged switch. This problem has been corrected.
