Fleet upgrade

Device upgrades can be performed on an individual basis, either from within AltoCommand or from the device WebUI. However, the recommended method for device upgrade is to perform a fleet upgrade.

With AltoCommand's fleet upgrade:

• You upload new device firmware to AltoCommand.
• Configure the target firmware version.
• Graphically view the current firmware version for all devices.
• Upgrade all devices that are not at the target firmware version.
• AltoCommand uses intelligent upgrade logic to minimize device downtime:
  • Upgrades devices in the correct sequence.
  • Ensures that devices are back online after upgrade before proceeding to subsequent devices.
